Generative AI(GenAI) is one of the hottest topics currently in the world. The following google trend graph clearly indicates that. The correlation with the trend of GPT will match with this.
The sudden rise in in GenAI is mainly because ChatGPT clearly showcased the capabilities of these systems. Amidst this whole new change in dynamics of AI world, most of us are not fully aware of what’s exactly happening. This technology is considered to be a revolutionizing technology which is true in solving some set of hard problems, but it did not appear suddenly. This blog will try to explain the past, present, and future of Gen AI without all the hype and provide some insights on where the technology is heading and what should be expected.
History of AI in GenAI
Let’s start with the history Artificial Intelligence (AI) to understand how all this started. If you are not interested in history, you can skip to the next session. There was a ChatGPT equivalent chatbot in the 1960s known as ELIZA, which was not a chat buddy but was a physiotherapist.
